FRENCH ONION SOUP

1/2 stick butter
4 large yellow onions, thinly sliced
1/2 teaspoon sugar
6 cups canned fat free, low sodium beef broth
1 1/2 teaspoon worcestershire sauce
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
6 slices french bread sliced diagonally
crushed peppercorn
6 slices Fiesta Pepper yogurt cheese

1. Heat margarine in a large saucepan over med. Heat. Add onions & sugar. Sauté until golden.

2. Add broth, worcestershire and pepper. Bring to boil. Reduce heat & simmer uncovered 20 mins.

3. Brush one side of bread with melted butter. Sprinkle with crushed peppercorns. Toast under broiler.

4. Ladle soup into indivdual crocks. Place one slice of the bread on top and one slice of cheese. Return to broiler to melt cheese.
